BP3309 is a single-stage, high-precision primary-side feedback LED constant current control chip with source power factor correction. It is suitable for flyback isolated LED constant current power supply with full range of input voltage of 85Vac-265Vac. This controller integrates an active power factor correction circuit to achieve high power factor and low total harmonic distortion. Since the operation is in the critical continuous mode of the inductor current, the power MOS transistor is in a zero current turn-on state, the switching loss is reduced, and the utilization of the transformer is also high.

BP3309 adopts a proprietary current sampling mechanism, which works in the primary side feedback mode. It can realize high-precision output constant current control without secondary feedback circuit, which greatly saves system cost and volume and improves system reliability. The chip uses a patented source driver technology and an internal fast charging circuit to achieve low primary side drive losses, ultra-fast system power-up and LED start-up.

The BP3309 uses patented line voltage compensation technology and load voltage compensation technology to achieve excellent line voltage regulation and load voltage regulation. The line voltage compensation factor can also be flexibly adjusted by external components.

The BP3309 has multiple protection features to enhance system reliability, including LED open circuit protection, LED short circuit protection, chip supply overvoltage protection, undervoltage protection, current sampling resistor open and short circuit protection, and cycle-by-cycle current limit. All protection states have an automatic restart function.
