Number of flash reminders to control the taskbar icon

Do not know if you have noticed that in the Windows 10 system, the running application icon residing in the taskbar will first use the flashing orange to draw the user's attention when there is a message or notification, and then stay in the orange state. Until we click on the icon to return to normal (Figure 1).

But I don't know if it has counted. The number of flashes is actually seven, and the most important thing is that the “number of times” is within our control.

First open the system registry. After Win+R enter regedit into the registry editor. Directly to

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control panel\Desktop

After you find the ForegroundFlashCount double click on the right side, you can see the number of flashes. The default is "7". (figure 2)

If you can't find the item on the right side, then manually create a new DWORD (32-bit) value, and name it as it is. Modifying the numerical data of the key value can directly change the number of times the taskbar flashes. After many tests, the range is between 0 and 9 (must be an integer). As for wanting to flash several times or simply not notify us, just enter the number. You can.
