Fortunately, on the morning of March 8th, patches to fix this problem are available from Oculus, and as long as you can open the Oculus desktop application, it should be easy to implement. If you currently have the Oculus app installed:
You can go to the download and install patch to download OculusPatchMarch2018.exe.
Open OculusPatchMarch2018.exe If Windows does ask you to open this file, click Yes.
If Windows Defender prompts "Windows Protects Your PC," click "More Information" and then click "Run Still."
If the antivirus software restricts the file from opening, temporarily disable the AV and continue. Select "Repair" and confirm that you want to fix the Oculus software. Allow the repair process to run, download and install. Launch the Oculus app.
Soon after the fix, you will be prompted to update. Please complete the update. Depending on the network connection, downloads and updates can take up to 10 minutes.
